[Tasting Korean Temple Food] Fried Sweet Pumpkin and Perilla leaf / 1min recipe

[Ingredients] 100g sweet pumpkin or Kabocha Squash, 5 pieces perilla leaf, 2~3 pieces jujube, 1/2 cup frying powder or flour, 30g sweet potato, frying oil as needed [Directions] 1. Steam the sweet pumpkin in a steamer. Peel the outer skin and mash the pumpkin. 2. Cut the sweet potato and jujube into julienne strips. Wash the perilla leaf under running water and drain. 3. In a small bowl, combine the ingredients above and mix well. 4. Place a sheet of the perilla leaf and spread the sweet pumpkin mixture evenly, roll the perilla leaf. 5. Combine the frying powder and water to make a batter. Dip the stuffed perilla leaf in the batter. 6. Heat the frying oil until reached 180c in a frying pan. Deep fry the dough until crispy and golden brown.
